Berkshire Marriages Second Edition CD went on sale in February 2012

This CD has transcriptions of 140,000 marriages, 450,000 names and contains marriages from more than 120 parishes - 20 of them NEW to this edition. The CD is priced at just £20 (plus postage and packing). Updates from the First to the Second Edition are also now available (usual updating conditions apply).

Berkshire Marriages is supplied in Adobe Reader format,  and includes a copy of Adobe Reader for MS Windows. Users of Mac, Unix and other operating systems can download a suitable version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com. Minimum requirement for this CD - Adobe Reader 7.0

The earlier Edition of Berkshire Marriages brought transcriptions of over 346,000 names of grooms, brides, fathers and witnesses from over 117,000 marriages recorded in registers and Bishops’ Transcripts of Berkshire parishes. Work is continuing until all available Berkshire Marriages have been accurately transcribed (Berkshire Family History Society has identified that some earlier third-party indexes to Berkshire marriages do contain significant levels of errors and omissions.)

Effort has focussed mainly, but not exclusively, on the years before civil registration began in England and Wales in 1837, and on Church of England parishes across the pre-1974 Royal County of Berkshire. A number of North Berkshire and Vale of the White Horse parishes are included but those absorbed from Buckinghamshire post-1974 are not yet present. Full details of parishes and periods covered can be found below.

A purchase of the Berkshire Marriages Second Edition CD entitles the owner to a substantial discount on the full price of the next Edition - (conditions apply).

You will find a list of parishes included, with dates, on subsequent pages.

Buy now for £20 plus postage and packing

TECHNICAL NOTES: Berkshire Marriages is in Adobe Reader format. A copy of Adobe Reader for MS Windows is supplied. Users of Mac, Unix and other operating systems can download a suitable version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com. Minimum requirement - Adobe Reader 7.0

The society is aware that some problems could be experienced when using the very latest version of Adobe Reader (versions of Adobe Reader X 10) with this CD. For this reason, it is suggested that you may prefer to use Adobe Reader 9.4 or lower.
